The real reasons why young people don’t vote
If you thought young people don’t care about politics, you may want to take a look at the data.
But vote splitting by the Liberals and the NDP means it probably won’t matter.
A poll last month found that nearly half of respondents intending on voting UCP in the next election want Jason Kenney to kick 6 MLAs out of the UCP caucus for vacationing during travel restrictions.
First time since the election they’re projected to win, with forecasts of sweeping Edmonton, taking 70% of Calgary, and gaining 7 seats elsewhere.
Lethbridge mayor, Chris Spearman, is stepping down after serving two 4-year terms.
Last month, Canada 338 updated their electoral projections for Alberta, and they’re showing a lead for the NDP in both Lethbridge ridings.
The party is still in third place, however, behind the Liberals and Conservatives.
This is the third poll in a row where Alberta’s UCP don’t lead in support.
