I was contemplating the phone numbers I’ve had since I was five, and wondered how they would look conceptually. Insightful. My wife memorizes phone numbers spatially, although I memorize the numbers themselves. It always intrigues me that when I ask her a phone number she dials the number in the air.

This conceptualization reminds me of what used to happen when my mechanical engineer roomate, a genius, had had far too many bong hits. It’s brilliance – no doubt there – but you have to scratch your chin a bit.
