COVID-19 outbreak at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge

3 healthcare workers confirmed with positive COVID-19 test results.

A memo went out earlier today to healthcare staff and physicians in the South Zone of Alberta Health Services. In it, the South Zone Emergency Operations Centre director confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

The memo indicates that 3 staff members at the hospital recently tested positive for COVID-19, and no patients have tested positive yet.

Workplace Health and Safety have identified other healthcare workers who may have been exposed and are working with the medical officer of health to complete contract tracing.
