Bleaching rainbows

This is part of the June 2022 Pride poetry series.

  1. Scrubbing at the rainbow, but nothing fades away.
  2. Crumpling the rainbow, but nothing kneads away.
  3. Shooting at the rainbow, but nothing sprays away.
  4. Bleaching at the rainbow, but nothing bleeds away.
  5. Tearing up the rainbow, but nothing rips away.
  6. Stomping at the rainbow, but nothing grinds away.
  7. Rinsing off the rainbow, but nothing slips away.
  8. Lightening the rainbow, but nothing blinds away.
