Dismember

This is part of the June 2022 Pride poetry series.

  1. I know you’re queer, but listen here, I have just the solution.
  2. The rainbow’s bad and makes me mad—it’s nothing but pollution.
  3. Let’s watch this reel—transphobic spiel—I know you’ll change your mind
  4. That men are men and not women; it’s clarity you’ll find.
  5. I’m in your face in this safe space, reminding you of hate.
  6. In Jesus’ name, I curse with shame, your soul I agitate.
  7. I’ll take a bow and leave you now and ask that you remember.
  8. Forget the dove and screw the love, I’m here to just dismember.
