Earlier this week, the Alberta Labour Relations Board released their latest new applications report and in it was a new application for unionization.
The application was submitted on 21 September 2022 by All Nations Union. They’re applying for union certification for a group of 4 workers employed by FDI Services Inc..
FDI Services Inc. is an employment agency based out of Edmonton, specializing in skilled labour services within the turnaround, maintenance, and capital projects industry.
The union is certifying for all maintenance workers at FDI’s Edmonton location. All Nations Union, organized earlier this year, is the first Indigenous-led union in Canada and is based out of Campbell River, BC.
